Hamster Dance video and The Weekend!

So, I saw this fun post over on Live imperfectly with great delight! on 10 fun things they did on the weekend, so I'm stealing the idea and doing it myself!

1. We went to the farmer's market Saturday morning, and I bought a big box of honey crisp apples and Asian pears. Also we ate a huge breakfast burrito and some cookies for breakfast.
2. We hung out with Brenden and Tiffany and watched the season finale of Dr. Who season 6.


3. I made an apple breakfast cobbler in the crock pot for breakfast Sunday morning. It was delicious. I have actually started a love affair with my crock pot, especially with making breakfast the night before. It is so nice to wake up to a hot breakfast on these crisp fall mornings.

4. Porter and I went to Olive Garden and shared my favorite fall treat, pumpkin cheesecake from the Olive Garden. It you haven't tried it, you NEED to. Do it!


5. Speaking of the Olive Garden, my parents and I went there for lunch on Saturday after a matinee of my show and I locked my keys in my car! And to add insult to injury, they were on my front seat, mocking me. Grrrr.

6. My sweet, awesome hubby left his tech rehearsal to come rescue me. He came driving up, a knight in shining armor and with a swift stroke he unlocked my car, saving me from hitch-hiking my way home.

7. I visited Porter's Rehearsal for 'The Wizard of Oz.' I was able to catch up with a friend from college who I haven't seen for a while. It was lovely chatting with Ms. Shannon Musgrave. She is choreographing 'Wizard.'

8. My family came to see "My Fair Lady" Saturday afternoon. It is always fun to see them.
I also got to meet the cute girl my brother has been dating. Don't they look cute?!

9. My father-in-law came over and visited. We haven't seen him since last spring. He lives on a boat down in So. Cali, but he is up visiting for the month of October. It was nice catch up with the ole sailer!

10. Sunday afternoon we visited Hooper. We hung with the fam, and relaxed. So naturally, the next course of action would be to make a music video. Hope you all enjoy our 'Hamster Dance!'

    Thought you should know that you're one of the most popular ladies in Waikoloa Village. I played your video for Buddy and then I played it for all his friends. Needless to say, we thought it was the most super fantastic things we've seen in a very long time!!!!!

St. George Spring Break

Just like the rest of the world, we haven't traveled in a year. We all have been going stir crazy and really wanted to get out for a quick get away over spring break. We thought about the beach, but opted for a destination we could drive too: St. George, Utah. Southern Utah is magical. There really is no other place on earth like it. The red rock desert mixed with exotic land formations and the occasional pop of green foliage make for a unique and exiting adventure.  We had never actually stayed in St. George. I did a bunch of research of where to stay, where to eat and what to do. I think it turned out really well if I do say so myself.  We stayed at the Las Palmas Resort in Condo 1801 . This resort and condo are awesome! The complex has lots of pools and hot tubs. Plus there are play grounds everywhere. We were on the bottom floor and our patio opened up right to playground. Italian Babymoon 2016: Venice

Venice.  This was the final stop on the Italian Babymoon.  We flew in to Rome, and flew out of Venice.  I really liked the way we planned this.  We didn't have to circle back to Rome to catch a flight, which was awesome!  We decided to go to Venice because it is kind of one of those places you just have to see.  It was cool, but not my favorite part of Italy.  It feels completely different compared to the other areas we visited.  Also, everything is way more expensive.  So just be prepared to pay a lot more for the same stuff you had in Florence.  However, we did have a lovely time. Water taxi, canal boat, or walking over many little bridges is how you get around.  Porter and I road the water taxi around a bunch to see the sights.  It's a great way to get a lay of the land. Italian Babymoon 2016: Florence

You Guys!  It's been a hot minute hasn't it?   So life with a baby is crazy, which is normal I think.  I completely abandoned my blog.  And middle saga no less.  I still have 2 posts to go on the Babymoon.  Never mind that the baby bump in this first picture is now almost a toddler, but I digress.  I have so many more posts to share of our travels and life.  So let's get to it.   Florence was our 3rd stop in Italy.  I was so excited to see the sculptures, and eat the gelato.  However, when we got to our hotel room, I was in love.  Our bed was gorgeous, and the best thing was the fact that they had air conditioning!!!  I just wanted to lay in the nice cool bed and sleep.  The bump was looking quite on point, so I had to snap a picture of the bump and the room.  We stayed at Art Atelier .  When Porter was finally able to rouse me from my lovely nap we jumped up to head out the door.  However, Porter jumped a little too much and his phone went flying.
